Welcome to the Material Science and Engineering Department

Materials are decisive in all technological mutations. Metals, plastics, ceramics, glasses, composites, semi conductors are used and are essential to all applications, would they be mechanical, microelectronic, biotechnological, as well as to nanotechnologies. The SGM department trains general engineers whose competences allow them to meet those traditional or innovative needs in all of the industrial fields, from design to recycling. They take part in every step of this process: simulation, choice, elaboration, use and study of the materials’ durability. Imagine, create, design and build in the quality.
